Overnight break-in at DMA Leaves $5 Million of Ancient Art Destroyed

A man broke into the Dallas Museum of Art and caused nearly $5 million in damage, destroying ancient art including three historic Greek objects. The man was eventually arrested and identified as 21-year-old Brian Hernandez. According to the Dallas News, he approached the museum's entrance and broke the glass doors with a metal chair around 9:40 p.m. and then began destroying objects once he got inside the museum.
Dallas Police Officer Arrested on DWI Charge

Dallas Police Department officials confirmed that one of their own has been arrested over the Memorial Day Weekend on suspicion of driving while intoxicated. The officer arrested was identified as senior corporal Daniel Jamieson. According to WFAA he was arrested by the McKinney Police Department and sent to the Collin County Jail. No information regarding bail has been made public, but Jamieson faces a Class B misdemeanor for the DWI charge.
Former Dallas Officer Gets Prison for Allowing Nightclub Magnate to Sell Cocaine

The U.S. attorney's office has confirmed that a former Dallas Police Department officer is being sent to prison for two-and-a-half years for allowing a nightclub king to sell cocaine in his clubs to boost profits. According to Dallas News, Eddie Vilarreal was sentenced for making a false statement to the FBI during their investigation of Alfredo Navarro Hinojosa.
