We Installed an Air Horn on our Bus Conversion and it is Loud!
I have always wanted an air horn like the big rigs has. Today, I installed one on our bus conversion just in time for hitting the road.
We are so Excited to be Back on the Road Again!
Travel is so exciting! Especially when you are in a bus, with your family, watching the countryside go by. Before leaving I installed a new camera system on our bus and it works amazing!
Finishing Our Bus Conversion While Traveling and Living in it is a Challenging Process!
We are in Pensacola, FL and while we are here visiting family we thought it would be a good idea to finish up some of the items that still need to be done on our bus conversion.

Orlando Florida is hot almost always but especially in the summer time. Today we are finishing up some things on the us so that we can leave Orlando, hit the road and start enjoying road life again. One told the last projects to tackle is plumbing.

Have a full bathroom in a bus conversion is very important and even more important for the family that will occupy it. We are making great progress and are close to moving in.
We Had to Weld and Install our own Sewer Tank Frame. The Entire Process was Very Involved!
Doing a bus conversion is very involved and takes a lot of planning and hard work. In order for us to install a toilet we first need to install our sewer tank. In order to install the sewer tank we need to weld a tank frame that will hold the sewer tank in place. This becomes a family project. In the meantime Arwen is braiding a bow braid into Kiera’s hair!
This Family Installed a Brick Fireplace in their Bus Conversion!
Family building projects for this family means loads of fun. Kiera and Dad work together to create a unique and beautiful brick chimney for the wood burning stove they will install in their bus conversion. The space they have to work with is tiny, extremely tiny. The cubic mini wood burning stove will be perfectly displayed on this masterpiece brick work. The memories made with the family surrounding this project make it even more special.

With our baby due to be delivered, we are racing to finish our bus conversion. Today, we installed beautiful white quartz countertops and a modern drop in gas range. The range is small and perfect for the space but functional to suit our families cooking and baking needs.
The Bamboo Flooring and Quartz Countertops they Installed in This Custom Bus Turned out Beautiful!
Doing work in a small space can be difficult. In this video we install real bamboo flooring in our bus conversion and we are really happy with the results. We also installed one of our quartz kitchen countertops. This custom bus conversion is coming together beautifully!
This Couple Built These Affordable, Custom Upper Wall Cabinets for Their Bus Conversion!
If your looking for a way to cut costs consider building your own wall cabinets. Today, we give an instructional on how to build custom cabinets for your home, tiny home or bus conversion. We are using 3/4” cabinet material for the unexposed parts of the cabinet and 3/4” cabinet grade, birch plywood for the exposed parts. Our tools used for this project are circular saw, table saw, jig saw, hammer, square, pen, wood glue, palm sander, sand paper, 18 gauge cordless nail gun with 1 1/4” nails, level, preset drill bit and cabinet screws. These cabinets are so simple to build, our whole family joined in on the project.
Varnishing the Stained Birch Paneling by Hand in our New Bus Conversion Made Such a Huge Difference!
After installing all the birch paneling, sanding it and staining it we are now ready to finish it with a polyethylene varnish. This varnish really finished it off well and gave us the glossy look we were going for. The Bus is really coming together nicely. The Baby is due soon and we are trying as hard as we can to get it finished in time.

We worked hard together, this hot day in Orlando, FL sanding and staining the birch wood paneling in our bus conversion. Our 8th baby is due soon so we are now working to complete the conversion before the baby arrives. It’s a race against time!
We Discovered Building our Own Upper Cabinets is Fun, Easy and Cost Effective!
The family project for today is building upper cabinets for our bus conversion. We are using 3/4” plywood that we custom fit to the contour of the ceiling. We show just how easy it is to assemble the cabinets and install them.
Figuring out how to Install an RV Door on a School Bus was a Challenging Task!
Our custom bus conversion project is coming along at a good pace. From the beginning of this project we knew that we did not want to keep the original school bus door and we didn't want a cheap RV door. After searching on eBay we came across a door that was designed to go into a high end RV. After some planning, welding and hard work we were able to get it installed and I have to say it was a perfect fit!
The Kitchen and Bathroom Drains and Vent Pipes are Plumbed in for our Bus Conversion Project!
Today, we are installing our new RV windows into our bus conversion. The whole family is doing their part to help. The windows must be cleaned before they can be installed. We cut out the window openings and prepped the area before installation. The windows installed smoothly and look great. There was much relief amongst the whole family once the windows were all installed and sealed, and before the rain storm came. A carful inspection of the windows during the storm came back with only a couple minor leaks. These leaks were easily sealed in no time.
Washing and Priming our Bus Conversion Project was a Fun Job for the Entire Family!
We have done all the paint prep on our bus conversion project and now it is time to give it a good wash before it is ready for primer and it’s first coat of auto body paint.

We decided to go with a beautiful birch plywood paneling to panel the interior walls of our bus conversion. Wiring in New Blinker and Running Lights. Our Bus Conversion will be Lit at Night!
Today we are wiring in new running lights and blinker lights, also known as chicken lights. The whole family chuckled today at the funny name of these lights while we worked to get the job done.
