Cumming, Georgia’s Sawnee EMC is Now Using Nuclear Power from Plant Vogtle
Cumming, Georgia’s Sawnee Electric Membership Corporation announced that as of July 31, it is receiving 23 megawatts of nuclear energy from the Plant Vogtle Unit 3 near Waynesboro. Plant Vogle has provided power to Georgia for over 30 years and is expected to provide power for Cumming, Georgia and Sawnee EMC for the next 60 plus years.
