Morris County received a top AAA rating from Moody’s Investors Service for the 47th year in a row in a review of CCM bond offer. Moody’s Investors Service again issued its top, AAA rating of Morris County’s financial stability in a review of $5.2 million in county guaranteed bonds offered for facility improvements at the County College of Morris.
Yamaha Piano Recital at Fullerton College
Dylan has been learning piano at Yamaha for several years now, and they were doing their annual recital at Fullerton College. Fullerton College is one of 112 California Community Colleges, established in 1913, and it's the oldest community college in continuous operation in California today. The performance was being held in the Theatre Arts building, and it was a packed house. I was surprised at the turnout, and it was definitely great to see so many parents and families supporting the little kids. I hope this inspires the musical pursuit of all the children in attendance.
Corinthian Colleges Students Receive Student Loan Cancellation
Biden Administration cancels nearly $6 billion in loans for more than 560,000 students. Following a series of misdeeds exposed by the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) and state attorneys general that ultimately led to the closure of for-profit schools owned by Corinthian Colleges, the U.S. Department of Education announced it is cancelling $5.8 billion in student loans owed by students who attended the schools. More than 560,000 students will receive relief as a result of the action.

Free College Tuition Is Slowly Becoming A Reality
New Mexico's government recently attempted a first-of-its-kind experiment to provide free college tuition to all state residents. According to The New York Times, "A new state law approved in a rare show of bipartisanship allocates almost 1 percent of the state's budget toward covering tuition and fees at public colleges and universities, community colleges and tribal colleges. All state residents, from new high school graduates to adults enrolling part-time, will be eligible regardless of family income. The program is also open to immigrants regardless of their immigration status."
