She had recently moved to Yellowknife, Yukon, that September to finish high school and stay with family. She was described as an outgoing and friendly person.
Teen Jane Doe Identified as Patricia Agnes Gildawie, Missing for 47 years

For nearly five decades, her whereabouts remained unknown and the investigation into her disappearance grew cold. Now, previously unidentified skeletal remains have been confirmed as belonging to the missing teen using the latest technologies in DNA.
Manitoba Taxi driver Melissa Chaboyer 2005 Murder Remains Unsolved

Melissa, people who knew her called her Lissa, was a thirty-five-year-old single mother to her teenage son and a devoted foster parent. She had housed over twenty children over ten years. She loved fostering and supporting her foster kids whenever they needed help, even if it had been years since they had been in her care.
1983 Murder of 11-Year-Old Lora Ann Huizar Solved

Lora Ann Huizar (image courtesy of St. Lucie County Sheriff's Office) It was a Sunday afternoon on November 6, 1983, when eleven-year-old Lora Ann Huizar was walking home from a friend’s house in Fort Pierce, Florida. Her parents noticed she didn’t come home, and they called the friend Lora had been with and discovered that Lora had left her friend’s house hours ago. They quickly searched the area, and when they couldn’t find Lora, they went to the St. Lucie County Sheriff’s Office to report her missing.
Possible sighting of Melissa Highsmith, 51 years after she went missing as a baby
The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) is reporting that there has been a potential sighting of Melissa Highsmith, who vanished in 1971. The NCMEC said they received a tip that Highsmith, who would now be 52-years-old, may have been seen in Charleston, South Carolina. People Magazine reports that the tipster said the woman they saw resembled the age-progression photo of Highsmith on the missing poster, and was on Daniels Island.

Missing Teen Identified After 5 Years

Arrest Made in 15-Year-Old Murder Case of East Texas Teen, Brittany McGlone
Chad Earl Carr(Photo: WCSO) Chad Earl Carr was arrested by the Wood County Sheriff’s Office (WCSO) on September 1, 2022. Carr was located by Captain Mike Chilson and Ranger John Vance at 255 Stemmons Freeway in Dallas, Texas. He has been charged with the 2007 murder of 19-year-old Brittany McGlone.
The DNA Doe Project Identifies 20 Year Old Remains

They found a human skull and partial skeletal remains in an open field near Swamp City Road.

The fifty-one-year-old interior decorator was in Lakewood, Colorado, helping her recently divorced daughter get settled with her two young children. Originally from Nebraska, the family was settling into their new life in Colorado.
The Brighton Ax Murder - 40 Year Old Murder Case Goes to rial

Krauseneck stands accused of murdering his wife, 29-year-old Cathleen “Cathy” Krauseneck, with an ax in the early morning hours of February 19, 1982. After allegedly killing his wife, he went to work, leaving their 3-year-old daughter home alone with her mother’s corpse at their home in Brighton, New York.

Cold Case Murder of a Mother and Toddler Solved after 27 Years

It was around 3:30 AM when they saw something that didn’t look right. Down a small, dead-end road lined with trees, they saw a vehicle with its doors open, and next to the vehicle, there was something on the road. They stopped and discovered the bodies of a young woman and a young child and called 911.
“Pima County Jane Doe” Identified as Brenda Marie Gerow
Her photo was found in the wallet of a convicted killer. Brenda Gerow (Image courtesy of Pima County Sheriff's Dept.) On April 8th, 1981, a young woman’s body was found near the Pima County fairgrounds in Arizona by a group riding off-road vehicles. Her body had been dumped along a dirt road. Detectives said it appeared the woman had been sexually assaulted and suffered a violent death.
34-Year-Old Cold Case Murder Solved by DNA on Letter from Killer

The story spoke of the frustrations police were having trying to find the killer of the beautiful young mother of three, despite having recovered DNA evidence from Kane’s body and clothing.

Miracle Letter Unites Community in Prayer Vigil for 50-year-old Cold Case
August 7, 2022, a 50-year Prayer Vigil was held on the steps of Springfield, NJ townhall for murdered 16-year-old Jeannette DePalma. It was a beautiful evening service that featured Pastor Brennan from Evangel Church in Scotch Plains, NJ, Deputy Mayor Chris Weber of Springfield, NJ and Ed Salzano representing Justice for Jeannette. The Vigil was unifying and was inspired by Jeannette's mother, Florence DePalma’s dying wish from many years ago.
