This is our first visit to the absolutely beautiful Lake Louisa State Park in Clermont, Florida. Wow this park is one of our favorites. From a beautiful beach to the rolling hills to some scenic cabins to an airplane crash, this park has it all! Great stop off to spend a relaxing few hours or even days here!

My husband and I are always looking for a good restaurant. I get tired of going to the same places repeatedly, so I started looking for something different. Let me tell you, I was very happy with Piesanos Stone Fired Pizza!

I moved to Clermont in Lake county in 1999. Most of Hwy 27 was orange grove plantations and just a few neighborhoods. Driving south on Hwy 27 from State Road 50 was a pleasant ride. No stop lights, the speed limit was 65 mph and you could drive with your windows open and take in the fresh breeze of the fragrant orange blossom or the freshly mowed grass on an early morning drive. There were very few vehicles, too. Most of the vehicles you’d encounter were trucks. As long as you stayed out of their way, you were fine. There were only two lanes north and two lanes south, however, there was never any traffic buildup - unless there was an accident.

January is strawberry season and what better way to celebrate than by picking some fresh ones at Southern Hill Farms? Clermont has a fun downtown area with many shops and restaurants to choose from. I visited Montrose Street Market for my lunch and am looking forward to trying more local spots on my next visit. We enjoy Autumn quite a bit as the temperatures in Central Florida drop to somewhat bearable levels. It’s during this time of year that we get out to enjoy some of the local outdoor favorites that are traditions this time of year. In this video, we get away to the country to explore and enjoy rural Florida outside of Orlando at Southern Hill Farms. Their Fall Festival is in full swing and includes a Corn Maze, U-Pick Sunflowers and other flowers, Wagon Rides, Food Trucks, Pumpkins, and more. This year-round farm really comes to life during this festival which is a local favorite. We have been waiting to go to Southern Hill Farms as a couple for some time and had the opportunity recently while collecting footage for one of our Visit Orlando video projects. We’re happy we got to visit and will be back when the Peaches are back in season.

It is on the same property, but there is a different entrance and barn. This will be a completely different experience.

We visited the Citrus Tower in Clermont over spring break! It was built in 1956 on one of the highest hills in Florida's ridge area. These views can't be topped! Music provided by Epidemic Sound.

We traveled to Clermont, FL and had to try Uncle Kenny's BBQ. A few people have recommended this place to us so we finally got to Clermont to try it out! What great BBQ this was. The service was outstanding as well. You have to try this place on your way to Disney World!! It is right next to the Citrus Tower!!

Suncreek Brewery in Historic Downtown Clermont, Florida is a beautiful facility within walking distance to Lake Minneola, the South Lake Trail, and the shopping and dining of Historic Downtown Clermont. In addition to their core beers, Suncreek also features seasonal and specialty beers on tap, ciders, and more on a rotating menu, both on tap and in bottles and cans. In addition to their beers, visitors can also purchase food on-site through Michael’s Ali Coal Fire Pizza and Mac’d Out. In this video, we visit Suncreek Brewery to sample some of the beers and to enjoy some Mac’d Out for lunch. We had a great visit and were able to enjoy their outdoor seating and the live music they had for the day. We have been to this location a few times and always enjoy ourselves. We love their wide selection of beers as well as the convenience of being able to grab a great meal while enjoying our beers.
