Creamed Peas and Tuna Over Toast may be a familiar recipe to you, or it may not be. It may sounds a bit strange to some, and will be very familiar to others.... but I grew up with this and loved it! It's easy to make and inexpensive, yet filling and also packed with protein and nutrients. I grew up with the understanding that this meal originated from England where my great-grandparents were from, but I have also heard people talk of how it came from the depression era since it was a cheap and filling meal. I suppose it could be true in both cases really. At any rate, it brings back great memories growing up with my grandmother and is one of my comfort foods. Here's how to make it:
