(VIDEO) Things to Do and Places to Eat in Charlotte
Visiting Charlotte soon? In this video, I share the restaurants that I ate at and fun activities I did in the Queen City over a long weekend. Before my trip, I asked around with friends, coworkers, and did a bunch of Googling to find the best restaurants in Charlotte and best things to do in North Carolina, and this is where my research brought me. From getting dinner at Haberdish, visiting the Whitewater Center and Discovery Place, grabbing breakfast at Amelie's, hanging out in Freedom Park, and trying out different types of Carolina BBQ at Midwood Smokehouse, we did a lot on our trip. Also, if you're looking for kid-friendly activities in Charlotte, our 2-year-old son was with us, so you can find a few activities for families in this video as well. Also, I mention this in the video, but if you're from Charlotte, please add your suggestions to the comments of more places that we should check out if we're out that way again!
South end brings another upscale restaurant on the scene .
What can I say besides Para really surprised me . I honestly thought it was going to be just another beautiful restaurant with sub par food . Boy did they prove me wrong . They are located dead smack in the middle of south end, previously Zeppelin restaurant. It's super nice inside from the lights, plants inside and out , just the entire set up was plush . Every cocktail our bartender recommend was everything we asked for and more . They started us off with an amuse Bouche before some of our dishes came out . Which for those that may not know is a small complimentary appetizer offered before dinner . Every dish we ordered was absolutely divine. We looked mostly forward to the lobster shooters , just because I mean who all can say they had lobster shooters ? Para passes the vibe , ambiance and more check so check them out asap if you can pull of a reservation due to them always being booked since opening date .
