How Catfish React to PUNCH BAIT Underwater!
Here we go! We caught some really nice channel catfish in this urban Arizona pond! Underwater fishing has been so helpful to me so far, so I want to continue to help you all get a look at what these fish are actually doing down there underwater. The bait of choice was punch bait. The flavors I used were echo gizzard, alpha blood, and garlic. The channel catfish here in Arizona love punch bait. I have never really seen any success with it until I tried here. The fish were all big in this pond! As you can see they have a great supply of food down there. Healthy and hungry fish were the name of the game. We got a good mix of fish both on the camera rod and off the camera rod. This underwater fishing camera sure is cool!
Sight Casting Channel Catfish in an Urban Pond!
I was on my out from a fishing trip when I spotted some fish! The turned out to be feeding channel catfish! We decided to throw our chicken liver at them and boy did they eat it. You never know what your going to see in the Arizona urban pond setting. This pond happened to be stocked with catfish a day before this, so it was loaded with fish. This is something you do not really see too often, so it was cool to experience. Channel catfish put up a great fight, especially on light tackle. Sight casting for any kind of fish is fun, but sight casting for catfish is just something you have to appreciate. These urban Arizona ponds are stocked heavily, but they are now done with stockings until august. There are still catfish to be caught in these urban ponds! Go get them while you can. If you get lucky you may see a few swimming around in front of You!

Arizona Canal Catfishing with Punch Bait!
We headed out for a short urban Arizona canal trip and it paid off! The channel catfish were biting! Canal fishing can be very tricky, especially when you can’t find the fish. I had fished 2 other spots this day with no luck until I came here. The canal catfish were eating the Stryker punch bait, specifically the anchovy and garlic flavors. This bait has yet to fail me in an area with fish. The bites came fast for these catfish, but after about an hour and a half it just died. This tends to happen. Catfishing Arizona can be very fun! You just need to be willing to move around to find the fish. The urban fishing scene here is amazing and loaded with canals and ponds. Channel catfish are all over the place. Go find them!
Arizona Canal Fishing for Catfish and Carp
Arizona canal fishing for carp and catfish! We were due for a trip to the canals! This time we were able to catch some very nice catfish and carp. Arizona canal fishing for carp and catfish! The Arizona canals are home to a large population of common, and grass carp. You can pretty much find any canal and catch them. Catfish can be a bit trickier to find however. The bait we were using was stryker punch bait and chicken liver for the catfish, and plain old corn for the carp! Channel catfish love the punch bait here! I definitely recommend trying some out. I have also had great luck here with chicken liver in garlic as well. I was also using chumpods to help chum the area of the canal. They are useful for getting fish in your are when fishing in ponds, and canals. I am still exploring Arizona fishing every trip! Slaying Catfish in an Urban Arizona Pond!
This urban Arizona pond was on fire! Channel catfish were just stocked a day before this! I decided to fish this pond with my usual garlic chicken liver. The bite was very consistent, and the catfish were a blast to catch. There is a very healthy urban pond stocking program here in Arizona. Now is the peak time to get some catfish! I was originally going to use my gofish cam, but the camera was sitting too far in the mud. Next time! Arizona catfishing is turning out much better than I originally anticipated. The pond fishing here can be very good! As long as you look at the stocking schedule. Fishing in Arizona can be a change forsure, but I think I am adapting well.
