Should legislators be in charge of what books are available to children?. Public libraries and schools will be required to censor what your children have access to. The Oklahoma Senate recently passed Senate Bill 397, which proposes a new requirement for school and public libraries to categorize their books into different age-appropriate sections.

There's long been talk of social media platforms like Twitter having a bias, and the debate has been especially heated since Trump was banned from the platform (along with just about everywhere else), forcing him to speak up on his own social media site, Truth Social. Although he was reinstated last November, he remains on Truth for now, while many other prominent conservatives refuse to abandon their Twitter followings.

Democratic lawmakers have been criticized for asking journalists to disclose their sources during a recent House Judiciary Committee hearing on the weaponization of the federal government. Florida has declared a war about discussing issues about race in the classroom. In Duval County, Florida, the children’s book “Roberto Clemente: Pride of the Pittsburgh Pirates” was pulled from school classrooms. According to Duval County School District, the book was taken away in order to comply with the state’s required review of all books. The district said that all books must be approved by a media specialist.

The Clean Zone Ordinance was first adopted by Phoenix, Arizona, last fall. The ordinance prohibited residents and businesses located in a section of downtown Phoenix from putting up any signs on their property without first having them reviewed and approved by the National Football League (NFL) and the Super Bowl Host Committee.

I began watching Russia Today during my long convalescence from the autoimmune disorder that put me in the hospital for two memorable weeks in 2004. There is too much entitlement in American society these days. One of the things that have been a topic of discussion lately is what constitutes censorship. Another term that’s thrown about is "cancel culture."

A few days ago I wrote an article about how moderating comments on an article is not an example of censorship. Exactly as I predicted, the article was flooded with comments denouncing censorship in any form.

Although censorship is technically forbidden by the US Constitution (due to the absolute right to freedom of speech), in practice it has been applied in numerous subtle and not-so-subtle ways to keep filmmakers in line.
