It has already been an eventful start to the offseason for the Indianapolis Colts. They had some coaches changes, due to some getting promotions elsewhere. Indianapolis also recently pulled off a Carson Wentz trade with no clear replacement for him. But with money to spend and a solid team everywhere else, the Indianapolis Colts free agency is going to be an interesting and likely exciting one.

The Indianapolis Colts have traded away quarterback Carson Wentz to the Washington Commanders. Thought the Colts’ owner had lost patience in Wentz, the Colts aren’t better today than they were before the trade, they are worse.

In the clip, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network says that Indianapolis Colts’ owner had grown frustrated with Carson Wentz, and he wanted the team to move on. After one season, Rapport says that Wentz played well at times, but he wasn’t good enough for the Colts, and that’s why he was traded.

The quarterback news ahead of NFL Free Agency continues to roll in. Today, the Indianapolis Colts pulled off a Carson Wentz trade that general manager Chris Ballard should be applauded for. Not only did the Washington Commanders pay for Wentz’s full salary, but they also sent two third-round picks to the Colts.

The Indianapolis Colts are not giving Carson Wentz the vote of confidence he was hoping for. I understand Colts’ fans wanting to upgrade at QB, however, Wentz wasn’t that bad. He can’t be solely blamed for the end of season collapse. The Colts collectively dropped the ball. The Indianapolis press conference clearly left a lot of questions, but the solutions aren’t easy.

Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback news and rumors don’t stop with a new report from ESPN that the Colts will likely trade or cut QB Carson Wentz by the time the new league year starts in March. Wentz had a very productive year on paper, however, his poor play during the teams’ loss to the Jaguars in Week 18 cost the Colts a chance to go to the playoffs. The Indianapolis Colts blew their playoff spot with an absolutely pathetic loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars.

The Indianapolis Colts have activated Carson Wentz off the Reserve/COVID-19 list on Saturday. The NFL has recently adopted CDC guidelines that say anybody who tested positive for COVID-19 only need to isolate for five days instead of ten days, depending on the players symptoms. Sunday would be Wentz’s fifth day on the list since testing positive, and as of now, many media members expect Wentz to play vs the Las Vegas Raiders. Wentz has been attending virtual meetings all week, meaning that he will be familiar and up-to-date with the Colts offensive game plan. The Colts are currently sitting in the fifth seed, and having Wentz back will be a big boost to the offense.
