2022 NFL Draft Review: Carolina Panthers
The Carolina Panthers started off last season on a hot streak by starting out the season 3-0. However, Panthers RB Christian McCaffrey suffered a hamstring injury in their Week 3 win against the Houston Texans. He tried to come back, but suffered a season-ending ankle injury in November. Not even the comeback of QB Cam Newton could help this team out last season.
Ickey Ekwonu (OL | Carolina Panthers) N.C State Tape Review
The Panthers addressed a much needed issue with offensive line. A pivotal run blocker with solid pass rush ability will help not only which ever quarterback they decide to run with in week one, but Christian McCaffrey and Chuba Hubbard in the run game.
Monday in Charlotte: City mulls social districting, another CMS gun, Panthers draft decisions and more
If Charlotte leaders open the doors for alcohol-allowed social districts, Plaza Midwood would be one of the first areas under consideration.(Courtesy of Charlotte's got a lot) Greetings, Roundup readers, and welcome to a new week and new month! It is Monday, May 2, and today's mostly sunny skies and 88-degree high might put Charlotteans in the mood to be social. City Council is considering a new ordinance that would allow visitors to consume alcohol in previously off-limit areas, called social districts, and debut a 2023 budget proposal.

Carolina Panthers Free Agents to Sign
The Carolina Panthers have made a little bit of news to begin the offseason, but it's about to get a lot more active. Not only will there be Carolina Panthers free agency signings soon, but the team is also one of the top landing spots for a Deshaun Watson trade. Regardless of what happens, it appears the Panthers will be active one way or another.
Video - Panthers GM Scott Fitterer says Carolina is 'still open' to re-signing Cam Newton
The NFL Combine is in full swing, and the NFL media is in overdrive, collecting soundbites, Tweeting, hot takes, and everything in between. However, I was blown away when there was a suggestion that the Carolina Panthers may field Sam Darnold and Cam Newton as their quarterbacks again. Using Cam Newton as a mentor makes a ton of sense. I had originally suggested that for Mac Jones last season. However, Newton is the story everywhere he goes, and it’s tough to be the quiet veteran in the background when the media wants you in front of the camera. You also run the risk of having to play Cam if he gets injured.
Cam Newton Highlights REVIEW/REACTION | NFL 2021
Cam didn't play very well this season in his comeback to the NFL after being released by the Patriots. I personally feel the comeback was rushed but this wasn't a good performance to push another team to sign him but we'll see what this next season brings whether that is retirement, a bridge quarterback role or a backup role. Regardless of whether Phil sees his shadow up in Punxsutawney, Pennsylvania, the weather 500 miles to the south won't look like winter. Readers can expect a high of 58 in the afternoon, later tapering off into the upper 40s with a partly cloudy sky above. Though it's early, WCNC hinted at a low chance of snow this weekend.

Carolina Panthers 2-Round 2022 NFL Mock Draft [1 Pick]
The Carolina Panthers season ended on a bad note with a lopsided loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers that was ended by a Sam Darnold interception. Regression and frustration were the resounding themes for the organization and its fans in 2021 and something has to change. Now for a front office and coaching staff on thin ice, this is the offseason that will determine their future. Finding an answer at the quarterback position and acquiring high-impact players in the draft are the only moves that will save this Panthers regime.
Saints V Panthers | WK17 NFL 2021
The Saints played another pretty good game with Taysom Hill and got the win. Hill threw for a solid 222 yards, 1 touchdown and ran for a team leading 45 yards. The Saints are one spot behind the 49ers and will need the 49ers to lose for them to secure a playoff position in week eighteen. The Panthers played pretty well, the defense did solid and Sam Darnold wasn't terrible but they'll need to figure out what they'll do at the quarterback position moving into next year if they don't want to barely miss the playoffs for a third year in a row. Buccaneers V Panthers | WK16 NFL 2021
The Buccaneers looked great considering they were missing Mike Evans and Chris Godwin. Antonio Brown went off and the run game looked very good despite the absence of Leonard Fournette. The Panthers seem to be preparing for next year. They're a team with a lot of talent but the inconsistency at the quarterback position is holding them back. Hopefully they address this in the offseason. Twitch: Hallonmars1

Panthers V Bills | WK15 NFL 2021
I'm assuming the Panther are all in on Cam at this point because despite his struggles they still play him. Unlike throughout the season if the quarterback play was bad they would change quarterback mid game. The Panther are still a team with a lot of talent and potential but that window only last so long, so it'll either be them finding the true QB1 that they need, or if they don't find it they can keep building with what they have and focus on building a competitive and wining culture which would take them far as a franchise as well. The Bills took this one home and did what they were supposed to but have a lot more work to do in order to make a deep playoff run. Twitch: Hallonmars1
