A vehicle passenger has died after the pickup he was traveling in hydroplaned on Interstate 10 in Louisiana, according to a news release from the Louisiana State Police. On March 17, 2023, shortly after 6:30 a.m., troopers from Louisiana State Police Troop D “responded to a single-vehicle crash on Interstate 10 just west of LA Hwy 26 in Jefferson Davis Parish,” the release says. “The crash claimed the life of 54-year-old Phillip Cooper III of Ponchatoula,” it says.

A pedestrian was gravely injured in a hit-and-run accident in Jersey City on Friday night, the first of at least two such occurrences over the weekend. Three individuals were injured in a car crash that took place in Horry County, South Carolina, on Saturday morning. In Little River, South Carolina, a fatal accident took place early Saturday morning. A pedestrian was hit by a vehicle on Nelson Road. According to Corporal David Jones from the South Carolina Highway Patrol, the incident occurred around 1 a.m. The vehicle involved was a 2012 Dodge Journey traveling in the southbound direction on Nelson Road, which hit the pedestrian.

GRAND TRAVERSE COUNTY — Over the past two weeks, a total of eight people have died as a result of multiple traffic collisions in northern Michigan. Four of these fatal crashes occurred in Grand Traverse County. That makes it the highest number of traffic-related fatalities in the county since before the pandemic. Data that was obtained from the road patrol office at the Grand Traverse County Sheriff’s Office has confirmed this.

Police say that the man who was hit was driving a Jeep Wrangler and heading east on US-31 around 11 on Thursday night when he was hit bit another driving who was driving south on South Long Lake Rd.

MANCELONA - On Thursday, December 15th, around approximately 10 pm, the Otsego County Sheriff’s Department received a call regarding a crash in Hayes Township. According to the police report that was filed, the crash happened between a pickup truck and a car. The pickup truck allegedly attempted to pass a car while driving west on Mancelona road near Lynn Lake road when he collided head on with another car.
