When it comes to locally owned chains around greater Phoenix, a handful of destinations come to mind. For some, Matty G’s Steakburgers is at the top of the list. At the beginning of the year, Matty G’s held seven different locations scattered around the Valley, as well as satellite restaurants elsewhere, such as Flagstaff. However, 2023 has not been kind to the locally run business, as two of the seven restaurants had already closed down. And now, a third restaurant has officially hit the chopping block, as Matty G’s continues to thin itself down.
