“Mike Evans revisits Antonio Brown's final moments with the Buccaneers: 'He wanted the rock”
Jordan Dajani - CBS Sports: “It was one of the highlights or lowlights of the 2021 NFL season, as Brown took off his pads and jersey midgame against the New York Jets in Week 17, and ran off the field while exciting the fans in attendance. Recently, Buccaneers wide receiver Mike Evans revisited that wild Sunday with Yahoo Sports, and he said Brown was wanting the ball before his dramatic exit. - Evans bringing up Brown wanting the "rock" is interesting, since it's something head coach Bruce Arians also told reporters when Brown was released. He claimed that Brown was very upset at halftime, and it had to do with who was getting targeted in the passing game. Brown was asked about this during an interview on HBO's "Real Sports with Bryan Gumbel," and he said the claim was false.”
Antonio Brown Doesn’t Believe Tom Brady Will Stay Retired
Caitlyn Holroyd of The Score: “Antonio Brown is among those who believe Tom Brady hasn't entirely closed the door on playing again. - After Brown's release from the Bucs in January, he described Brady as a close friend but also expressed disappointment that the quarterback didn't help him get a better contract. - Brady, who announced his retirement on Feb. 1, seems open to the possibility of returning to the NFL one day. He stated during a recent podcast appearance that he'd "never say never" about a potential comeback, though he said he feels good about his decision to retire.”
Deshaun Watson’s Agent Denies QB’s Interest in The Buccaneers & Vikings
Matthew Washington of The Score: “Deshaun Watson's agent says there's no truth his client is looking into the Tampa Bay Buccaneers or Minnesota Vikings ahead of free agency. - The response arrives a day after the 26-year-old was reportedly assessing potential landing spots ahead of the 2022 season. Watson was believed to be prioritizing offensive system, coaching, and the ability to win when deciding on his next destination. Watson holds a no-trade clause that allows him to have the final say in any potential trade scenario.”
Tom Brady “Isn’t Close” To Making A Decision Around His Retirement
Grown men have cried, people have sent good wishes, some thanked the stars, and after all that, we still don’t know if Tom Brady is retiring or not. Friday night, CBS reported that sources close to the 44-year-old Tom Brady said that he would be announcing his retirement in the next few days. Things really heated up Saturday when ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported that people in Brady’s inner circle confirmed Brady was retiring. Then things went crazy. Rumblings began to get louder that Brady wasn’t happy that his decision leaked before he was able to make it public. Other reports indicated that Brady had yet to make a decision. Brady’s father then told the media that his son wasn’t “even close” to making a decision. Frankly, nobody but Brady himself knows what’s happening, and the lesson we learned was that until it comes out of Brady’s mouth, don’t believe anything you see.
Tom Brady Asks People To Show Compassion Towards Antonio Brown
After Antonio Brown removed his jersey and undershirt on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers sideline and quit the team midway through the third quarter, people had a lot of questions. Bruce Arians didn’t have much to say about it. He simply made it clear that Brown was no longer a Buc and asked for a new question. The media was looking for answers, Tampa Bay was looking for leadership, cue Tom Brady. It’s important to remember that it was Brady who advocated for Tampa Bay to sign Brown. He even lived with Brady when he first got to Florida, and there is a clear friendship between the two players. Brady and Brown played one game together as members of the Patriots. Brown was cut a week into his tenure when he was accused of sexual assault. Brown and Brady won a Super Bowl together last season. When talking about Sundays incident, Brady asked that people show compassion. He reminded us that we don’t know what other people are going through. Brady showed the leadership Arians didn’t.
Antonio Brown Walked Out On The Buccaneers Mid Game
I was watching the New England Patriots game when I saw a Tweet pop up that Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Antonio Brown had taken off his jersey and walked out on the Buccaneers in the third quarter. At the time Tampa Bay was losing to the New York Jets, and though I’m not entirely sure what led up to the moment, my focus was on figuring out what happened. I found multiple videos that showed brown removing his shoulder pads and jersey, throwing it down, removing his undershirt and throwing it in the crowd. At one point you could see Mike Evans trying to stop Brown, but Antonio wouldn’t have it. That led to a scene that is going to live on highlight packages for a long time. In this video I show a clip of the entire incident. I show you Bruce Arians reaction, Twitters reaction, and I give you my opinion on the matter.
