My favorite stretch of road in the Bay Area.
This is one of my favorite drives in Northern California. I love the scenery and the design of the road with its twisting turns through of woods.
Amazing Northern California Hwy. 1 POV drive
This is one of my favorite stretches road in Northern California. I rode my motorcycle on this road hundreds of times from the 1980's to present. It's a amazing road to ride, or drive in a sports car on. There are parts of the lagoon that seals love to sunbathe in, also a ton of birds to watch.
Cataract Falls in Marin County
Cataract Falls and Alpine Lake - 5.4 Miles Round-Trip Cataract Falls is located 1.75 miles from the Rock Spring Trailhead in Mt Tamalpais State Park. The trail closely follows Cataract Creek to a series of falls along its path, and continues on to the redwood-lined shores of Alpine Lake. This popular trail features diverse ecology, numerous cascades, and fishing at Alpine Lake.
Beautiful car commercial road
This road was used for a lot of car commercials. It's in Mt Tamalpais state park, on the Bolinas ridge road.
Palomarin Trailhead in Bolinas, California
This is a very popular hiking spot and has a parking lot that fills up fast if you don't get there early enough. There's a beautiful waterfall called, Alamere Falls that is a long 13 mile round trip hike if you are a strong hiker.
The town no one wants you visiting
The town of Bolinas is just North of Stinson Beach on the Pacific Coast Hwy 1, and the residents don't want you to know it's there. I lived here for a year back in the 80s. Bolinas is a small beautiful town along the coast. The surfing is good on most days.
