Governor Greg Abbott traveled to Dallas, Texas, and voiced his campaign stance on school choice while visiting a local school. Abbott was at King’s Academy, a private school of about 70 students meeting with parents, teachers, and school administrators to talk about education success outside of a public school system.

At a recent town hall in Mineral Wells, Texas which is east of Fort Worth, Beto O’Rourke was heckled at the event. Instead of ignoring the person. He cursed at the heckler. "Now 11 weeks since we lost 19 kids and their two teachers shot to death with a weapon originally designed for use in combat – legally purchased by an 18-year-old, who did not try to obtain one when he was 16 or 17, but followed the law that was on the books, ladies and gentlemen, that says you can buy not one, but you can buy two or more if you want to, AR-15s."

One woman, Nancy Thompson, had it with the law she was forced to live with. Before the school year, she had to send her child to school wearing a mask, a KN95 mask since that was the school requirement.

The Dallas Newsreported that ERCOT’s interim chief executive Brad Jones plans to step down from the position he started over a year ago. He assumed this role after the Texas 2021 winter storm that left homes without power for days and where 246 people died according to the Texas Tribune.

A Dallas homeowner with a $410,000 single-family home would have a property tax bill of $2,123 under the new proposal - this is a saving of $79. This 2.75% decrease is the largest decrease in 37 years.

Some say that the troops are necessary to help with drug trafficking and human smuggling, while others say that the troops are nothing more than a political stunt to make it appear as if the Governor is tough on immigration.

Beto O’Rourke made another stop on his 49-day road trip across the state of Texas. On this stop, it was in Houston. As he walked on stage in front of a standing-room-only crowd in Houston, O’Rourke shouted:

Democratic challenger Beto O’Rourke made his sixth stop on his drive for Texas campaign as he faces Governor Greg Abbott this November's election. O’Rourke drew people from Bailey County, the Panhandle, and a few from New Mexico as he was close to Lubbock, Texas.
