It's easy to sabotage relationships when we don't check our behavior
**This is a work of nonfiction based on actual events that I have experienced firsthand; used with permission. Romantic relationships can be dynamic and ever-evolving. Finding someone compatible to be in a long-term relationship with can be tricky. However, once you actually have a partner, maintaining that relationship is even harder.

If you asked my dad how he was doing even when he wasn’t doing well, he would say he was “pretty fair.” That was his catch-all response when deep down, I don’t think that was true at all. I don’t think he was as happy as he could have been. I think my mom used to be happy. She was outspoken so we knew when something was on her mind.

(Denver, Colo.) Two people blasted some Aurora City Council members as "immature" Monday during the public comment period. The residents called in their comments. A woman who identified herself only as Janice said several council members behaved immaturely last week during a discussion about youth violence prevention. She said they showed young people being "disrespectful" and "dishonest" is acceptable.
Let's duct tape the phrase 'shut-up' from being said to a child
I have never liked the phrase, shut up. I also didn’t grow up in a home where that phrase was prevalent. I believe there are more productive ways to ask someone to stop talking. I believe we are such a strong influence on children that we should always set an example.
