Enjoying Balboa Park All To Ourselves During COVID in 2021
When I visited Balboa Park in 2021, the place was almost a ghost town. We went in the morning, and had the place almost entirely to ourselves. We were able to have a very peaceful time walking around the different gardens and areas.
Feel Like Your Transported to Spain at "La Villa Espanol" in San Diego's Best Park
Balboa Park has a section named "La Villa Espanol" or "The Spanish Village" which makes you feel like your transported to Spain. The architecture here is distinctly Spanish with very colorful and pretty brick sidewalks and walking spaces.
The Majestic "Bea Everson Fountain" in the Center of Balboa Park
Located in the center of Balboa Park. the "Bea Everson Fountain" is a majestic fountain on display and is definitely worth a visit. It is also surrounded by beautiful buildings and many eye-catching plants. I recommend that you stop by here and then continue on to the outdoor gardens just across the way.

Balboa Park has so many different parts and things to offer. If you love nature and plants, the "Lily Pond" and "Botanical Building" are perfect for you. Even walking around the outside of the building, you can see many beautiful plants, hear birds chirping, and see a scenic pond surrounded by palm trees.

Balboa Park boasts an impressive 17 different museums! These include different cultural museums, art museums, and many other topics. The buildings are all beautiful from the outside as well due to their striking architectural design.
Where to Go on A Peaceful Morning Stroll - The Spanish Alcazar Gardens at Balboa Park
At Balboa Park, there are many places to walk around. My favorite place to go on a peaceful morning stroll is the "Alcazar Gardens". These gardens have a distinct Spanish style complete with a fountain and many pretty features.
"Could You Be a Cannibal?" Exhibit at Balboa Park in San Diego
At the "Museum of Us", they offer an exhibit about cannibalism, which was very shocking to see. The museums themselves are gorgeous from the outside with very intricate and ornate details following Spanish and Italian designs.
