Wanted Roanoke Rapids Man Arrested After Foot Chase
On Sunday, 10/1/23 Sgt. D. Newsome, assisted by Lieutenant D. Jenkins, Lieutenant D. Hundley, Master Officer K. Williams, Officer C. Walker, and Officer I. Nielsen, recognized an individual who had several warrants from multiple agencies walking through the parking lot of a restaurant on Julian R. Allsbrook Highway. The individual was Michael Kevonne Green (24), of James Court in Roanoke Rapids. Sgt. Newsome and Officer Walker stopped Green and gave him verbal commands that he was under arrest. A brief foot chase ensued and Green was taken into custody without further incident. Green had a total of 13 outstanding processes from multiple counties including Halifax, Cumberland, Durham, and Probation and Parole.
