Clay County Sheriff’s Office captures suspect in Middleburg wanted on armed burglary charge

The Clay County Sheriff’s Office issued a BOLO (be on the lookout) at approximately 11:23 a.m. Tuesday searching for a man wanted for armed burglary. Just 15 minutes later, he was captured.

There was a heavy law enforcement presence in the 200 block of Horsetail Avenue in Middleburg, looking for Donald Harrell, according to a Saferwatch alert. Sheriff’s office deputies set up a perimeter in the area.

Harrell was captured at 11:38 a.m.

“If you see Donald Harrell, do not approach him and contact the Sheriff’s Office immediately or submit a SaferWatch tip via this app,” the alert read. “Please use caution in the area, and obey instructions by CCSO deputies, as we do have a K9 on the ground tracking.”
