Clay County Sheriff’s Office Neighborhood Engagement Team to hold town hall meeting

A Clay County Sheriff’s Office NET town hall meeting is scheduled for June 8 and all community members are welcome.

The Thursday meeting will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Eagle Landing Golf Club (3989 Eagle Landing Pkwy.) in Orange Park. There is no cost to attend.

The Clay County Sheriff’s NET, or Neighborhood Engagement Team, is a strategy to reduce crime and engage the community, according to the sheriff’s office webpage. Residents and their neighbors can meet with deputies once a month to discuss crime trends and crime prevention strategies.

Guest speakers at the June 8 meeting include Sheriff Michelle Cook, Clay County Sheriff’s Office Marine Deputy Brooks Morrell and Florida Highway Patrol Sergeant Dylan Bryan. Clay County Sheriff’s Office deputies will also be available to meet with residents who have specific questions and/or concerns, according to a sheriff’s office Facebook post.
