Update: Clay County Sheriff's Office announced at approximately 8:06 a.m. Friday, through SaferWatch, that the missing Richard P. Vandermiller has been located and is safe.
No further statements have been made.
The Clay County Sheriff’s Office sent out a BOLO, “Be On the Lookout,” at approximately 10:21 a.m. Thursday for a missing 82-year-old man.
According to the notice posted to SaferWatch, the Sheriff’s Office is asking the community for help locating Richard P. Vandermiller of Orange Park.
Vandermiller was last seen wearing blue jeans and a brown and white plaid shirt, the alert said. He is 5’9” and suffers from Alzheimer’s Disease.
He was last seen at approximately 5 a.m. Thursday morning leaving his home in the 3400 block of Red Oak Circle in Orange Park. The alert said he was driving his 2011 green Toyota Camry with Florida tag 2127XE.
Anyone who has seen Vandermiller or his vehicle are asked to contact the Clay County Sheriff’s Office at 904-264-6512.
