Meals on Wheels Diablo Region and Café Costa Announced a new initiative that allows local seniors in Brentwood, CA to enjoy a Mexican Brunch from Chapala Mexican Restaurant on Tuesdays and Thursdays between 10:00 AM – 11:30 AM.

This new brunch program gives older adults an opportunity to enjoy an authentic Mexican meal while connecting with other seniors in Brentwood.

“I was very excited when this pilot project was presented to me, not only because it is a great location, but also because I’ve been out in the community and hearing the reason why a lot of Latino seniors aren’t participants of the cafes,” said Lidia Gutierrez, Older Adult Support Specialist for East County Senior Resource Initiative (ECSRI). “Often Immigrants that came to the United States as an adult are more comfortable eating foods they know and love. I am confident brunch at Chapala Mexican Restaurant is going to benefit a lot of seniors by giving them the opportunity to be connected with their community and meet new friends.”

Reservations must be made by 1:00 PM on the day prior to the brunch visit. The suggested donation is $3.00 per meal.

Call (925) 482-8755 for reservations!
