Visiting George Washington's Mount Vernon

A Spring 2021 visit to the home of the United States' first president. Mount Vernon, located just 18 miles south of Washington, DC, is a sprawling estate complete with the mansion where George Washington lived, gardens, farm houses, and much more. The mansion is open to visitors year round, but is a ticketed attraction. You do have to pay an admission price, unlike most of the attractions in the DC area.

Hi, I'm Zach! Being an avid traveler, I love exploring new places and sharing my experiences with anyone who wishes to adventure along with me. American cities, cruises, world travel, and theme parks are the primary focus of my content, with a little weather and aviation sprinkled on the side. And of course, being a resident of the Nation's Capital, there will be plenty about DC as well. Let's get this adventure started!
