(VIDEO) Experience Newport Harbor on the Balboa Island Ferry

In operation since 1909, the Balboa Island Ferry is always one of my favorite things to do in Newport Beach in the summer time. In addition to just being a really neat experience to "drive" my car on the harbor, it can also be a time saving route if traffic is particularly bad. Prices are extremely reasonable, pedestrians are $1.25, bicycles $1.50, and cars $2.25. The ferry ride itself is only 800 feet across the harbor, but if you "drove" it would be 6 miles. #SummerBucketList

Fun, informative, and entertaining travel guides hosted by Chris Raney. Based in Southern California. Exploring the world! I got started making online travel videos in 2004 to share with friends and family, but shortly thereafter I took to YouTube in 2008. I spend hours every week researching & shooting informative videos to allow curious travelers to make informed decisions about where to go, where to stay, what to eat, and what to do in a destination. My goal is to be as DETAILED and INFORMATIVE as possible while still being FUN!
