In a recent postgame interview Marcus Smart said that the Celtics offense, which is the second highest ranked in the league, relies heavily on randomness. Apparently their system has just a couple plays and is mostly just reading the defense and reacting accordingly. This makes it extremely difficult for teams to game plan against the Celtics, especially with their immense amount of bench depth. Random or not, it’s working, because Boston now has the best odds to win the NBA finals and looked absolutely dominant in game 2 against the 76ers.
