I Took a BIG RISK While Fossil Hunting in Florida - On The Hunt For Ancient Marine Life!

I went out on a whim to a fun little dirt road spot that I like to visit from time to time. Chances are I wasn't going to find much, but with taking a risk and having some patience the trip really ended up paying off! This dirt road uses fill material from a limestone mine, which is full of marine fossils. Mostly shells and fossil Echinoids (sea urchins and sand dollars). Another cool thing that can be found here is chert rocks with small voids of druzy quartz crystals inside of them! Not to mention it's also just a beautiful area. Enjoy!
