You've NEVER SEEN Calcite Crystals Like THIS! Florida Fossil Hunting and Rockhounding

Ever since my friend Derek found these calcite crystals for the first time a few years ago, I HAD to find them. The location is far from where we live, and we wanted to wait for cooler weather so it took us a long time to make it happen. But, after finally making it I am more pleased than I ever thought I would be! Also, we tried to plan for cooler weather but it was HOT! These are fossil coral heads that have been replaced with calcite crystals during fossilization and other geologic processes. Not only is that incredibly cool, but the structure of these crystals is unique as well. They sort of look like a "porcupine" or "hedgehog" is what myself and a lot of friends have said. What do you think? It was an incredibly fun adventure to find these calcite corals. I hope you all enjoyed. Thanks for watching!
