STUNNING Calcite Crystals Found in Prehistoric Seashell Fossils!

In this video my buddy Derek invited myself and a few of our friends on an epic Florida fossil and crystal hunting adventure! He took us to a small creek that has cut through the top layers of sediment to expose the ancient ocean floor. Over time, thousands of shells would fall to the bottom and become buried in circumstances that were perfect for fossilization to occur. But these fossils are unique in the fact that they have filled with beautiful amber-colored calcite crystals! I love that these are really a two-in-one combo of a fossil and a crystal. Florida calcite is some of the most gorgeous I've seen. I hope you all enjoy the video! Thanks for watching!
