The Bottom of this River is Full of Prehistoric Bones and Teeth from the Ice Age!

I can't express how lucky I am to live in a state with such a rich prehistoric record. Florida is sort of like the "perfect storm" for fossilization to occur. There wasn't very many "high energy" events to mess things up. Florida has a LOT of water and a lot of swamp which is perfect for preservation. This makes it so a lot of rivers and creeks are full of unique fossils. In this video specifically we're targeting ice age fossils from animals like mammoths, mastodons, horses, dire wolves, camels, giant armadillo's, and all sorts of crazy mega fauna from that time period! So I met up with some friends and we hooked up our SCUBA Diving gear to enter the depths of this Florida river to find these amazing fossils. Thanks for watching and reading!
