This is THE BEST Megalodon Shark Tooth I've Ever Found!

Some days you find the fossil. Some days the fossil finds you... Okay, maybe that doesn't make much sense haha! But I can't help but be ridiculously excited about this Megalodon Shark Tooth find. It seems that the best finds come at some of the most unexpected times. I didn't wake up the morning of this hunt thinking that I'd be going home with one of the nicest fossil shark teeth I have ever found. This was in a small creek that has eroded away land to reveal a clay layer, which is the ancient ocean floor. Shark teeth and other marine fossils settle in the creek bed over time in gravel deposits. This particular site had been very productive for us. But we really saw its true potential today!
