Wait... You Can Find Megalodon Shark Teeth on Dirt Roads in Florida?!

I'm guessing the title of this video sounds a little bit crazy, but it's true... you can find Megalodon Shark Teeth and other fossils on dirt roads in Florida! Let me explain. Florida uses a lot of material from the ground to use as road fill that helps prevent erosion on dirt roads. Often times, this dirt and rock is dug from deep underground. Certain areas use limestone, certain areas use phosphate, and certain areas use shell material. It's all based on what's readily available in specific counties. Almost all of this material bears some sort of fossils, you just have to do a lot of exploring and know where to look. We spent countless hours of driving to find sites, and luckily have come across some great fossil shark teeth in those hours. This video was one of those great days. Thanks for watching, hope you enjoy!
