We Found a Manatee Skeleton on an Island Beach in Florida?! Florida Fossil Hunting for Sea Biscuits

Hey y'all! In this video, my buddy PaleoCris and I teamed up to go to some islands in the gulf coast of Florida that were made from dredge spoils. The dredging dug into ancient limestone and exposes some absolutely beautiful fossil Echinoids (sea urchins/sea biscuits/sand dollars) from the Eocene epoch, which is a period of time from about 33 - 55 million years old. What we did not expect was to come across a manatee skeleton while out hunting for these fossils! We left all the pieces to be respectful of the animal and follow laws. I hope the manatee went out peacefully before finding its resting place on this island. Hope y'all enjoy the video, and thanks for watching!
