Two Juveniles Arrested, Charged With Attempted Murder In Rancho Cucamonga

At least two juveniles have been arrested for an attempted murder that occurred in Mid February in Rancho Cucamonga.

On February 16th, rancho cucamonga sheriff deputies responded to reports of shots fired on the 10900 blk of Church St around 6:10pm.

When deputies arrived they found victim suffering from three gunshot wounds.

Deputies rendered aid until the victim was transported to a hospital for further treatment.

After a brief investigation, Deputies learned the victim (A male) was visiting a friend when he came across two unknown suspects , who shot him.

The next day, a citizen reported a discarded firearm in a park, which was not to far fron the shooting scene.

Deputies responded and was able to safely recover the firearm, as well as video footage of the suspects who discarded the firearm during the same timeframe of the shooting.

Detective's continues to investigate and was able to positively identify two 17-year old juveniles as the suspects.

Deputies were able to obain an arrest warrant.

On March 15th, Deputies specialized enforcement division (SED) located and arrested one of the suspects in Ontario.

Literally two days later, SED personnel located the second suspect in San Bernardino and arrested him without further incident.

A homeowner where the second suspect was found, was also arrested for accessory to attempted murder.

Both 17-year old juveniles were charged with attempted murder.

The victim's identity has not been released.
