One man was killed when another man driving at high speeds crashed into him in Long Beach Sunday morning.
Long Beach officers responded to reports of traffic collision with injuries near Mongolia Ave & Hill St just after 4am.
When officer's arrived they found both vehicles involved. Long Beach fire and medics were able to transport one man to a Hospital in critical condition.
Unfortunately one man lost his life at the scene.
After a brief investigation, it was revealed that a 1996 Toyota Camry was traveling southbound on Mongolia Ave just south of Hill st. A 2021 Hyundai sonata was traveling Northbound on Mongolia Ave on the wrong side (Southbound lane) at high rates of speed.
Thats when the Hyundai driver collied with the Toyota driver, killing him. The Hyundai driver remains in critical condition at a hospital.
The crash impact was so hard, it caused the Toyota driver to crash into several parked Vehicles.
The Hyundai driver is believed to be a resident of Downey. The Toyota driver identity has not been released.
