Raptor Paddock Fun - A Review of Universal Orlando's New Jurassic World VelociCoaster

Universal Orlando Resort’s newest coaster, the Jurassic World VelociCoaster opened this summer at Islands of Adventure park. This great new rollercoaster, located in the Jurassic Park a themed land within the park, is a fantastic addition to the parks already incredible, lineup of attractions. It adds to the skyline of the park in design, the energy of the land with the addition of its kinetic elements, and a connection to the Jurassic World franchise. The coaster, built and designed by Intamin in conjunction with Universal Creative, is a steel launched roller coaster that features two launches powered by induction magnets or an LSM system. It reaches speeds of 70 miles per hour and includes 4 inversions in its lineup of thrill elements. We really enjoyed this new coaster as it does add to the overall park experience. The storytelling isn’t incredible, but it does the job very well for a themed coaster.
