Four parks to go with your dog in Detroit

Wayne Dover

DETROIT, MI - Going for a walk with your dog can be an alternative to get out for a while from your hectic workday. You can play catch or just let your dog run around you while you appreciate nature. These four dog parks recommendations from Yelp are worth visiting with your man's best friend.

1. Rotary Park

Located at 32184 6 Mile Road Livonia, Rotary Park has a good-sized playground, baseball field, tennis courts, some portable potties, and bathrooms. It also has 0.5 miles walking path for you to walk around. You can enjoy jogging around with your dog in its trails. One thing to note is that it has no enclosed dog area, make sure you watch your active dog here.

2. Midtown Dog Park

Midtown Dog Park is located at 4263 Cass Avenue Detroit, and it has grassy space for your dog to run and play around. It is a fenced-in park, so you can take its leash off and let them explore the whole park on their own. It provides some picnic tables to sit in while your Fido plays. Midtown Detroit Dog Park is open seven days a week, and you can go there from 7 a.m. to 8.30 p.m.

3. Detroit Dog Park

Detroit Dog Park is a quite spacious dog park that has grass, several trees, waste stations, and provides some benches for its visitors. There are still also several dirt spots in it, but your dog will still enjoy playing around. It is open daily, from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. full from Monday to Sunday.
