25-Year-Old Bealeton man killed in Fauquier crash

Virginia State Police are investigating a fatal single-vehicle crash that occurred in Fauquier County on Wednesday.

The incident occurred around 10:10 p.m. on Balls Mill Rd. near Rockdale Lane, VSP reported.

Chandler P. Povlson was reportedly driving a 1994 Ford Ranger. According to police, he was heading southbound when the pickup cross the double-solid centerline. He ran off the left side of the road and crashed into several trees.

Based on VSP’s report, the 25-year-old Bealeton man initially survived the crash and was transported to INOVA Fairfax Hospital. But, he later succumbed to his life-threatening injuries.

VSP said Povlson was not wearing a seatbelt.
