The Feds have pulled off another drug trafficking sweep in Virginia.
This time, the charges stem from Operation Lights Out, a multi-state, FBI-led effort. And 18 of the 26 people charged were from Virginia, information from the Dept. of Justice shows.
The Virginians facing charges include:
- Cortez Dayshawn Bumphus, aka “Co”, 34, of Newport News. His charges are:
- Continuing criminal enterprise
- Conspiracy to distribute marijuana, cocaine, fentanyl, oxycodone and cocaine base
- Conspiracy to launder money
- Felon possessing a firearm
- Distribution of fentanyl and marijuana
- Maintaining a drug involved premises
- Use of a communication facility to further drug trafficking
- Dontae Lamont Dozier, aka “2 Chains”, 35, of Chesapeake. His charges are:
- Continuing criminal enterprise
- Conspiracy to distribute marijuana, cocaine, fentanyl, oxycodone and cocaine base
- Conspiracy to launder money
- Possessing a firearm in drug trafficking
- Maintaining a drug involved premises
- Use of a communication facility to further drug trafficking
- Zuri Anthony Dre-Oliver Reeves, aka “Zu” or “ZuWaap”, 26, of Spotsylvania. His charges are:
- Continuing criminal enterprise
- Conspiracy to distribute marijuana, cocaine, fentanyl, oxycodone and cocaine base
- Conspiracy to launder money
- Possessing a firearm during drug trafficking
- Distribution of fentanyl and marijuana
- Use of a communication facility to further drug trafficking
- Amanda Bell, 22, of Chesapeake. Her charges are:
- Conspiracy to distribute marijuana, cocaine, fentanyl, oxycodone and cocaine base
- Conspiracy to launder money
- Possessing a firearm during drug trafficking
- Use of a communication facility to further drug trafficking
- Stephon Lamount Bumphus, aka “Fon”, 34, of Newport News. His charges are:
- Conspiracy to distribute marijuana, cocaine, fentanyl, oxycodone and cocaine base
- Conspiracy to launder money
- Distribution of fentanyl and marijuana
- Use of a communication facility to further drug trafficking
- Damian Deshawn Gay, aka “Hatch”, 25, of Hampton. His charges are:
- Conspiracy to distribute marijuana, cocaine, fentanyl, oxycodone and cocaine base
- Conspiracy to launder money
- Distribution of fentanyl and marijuana
- Possession of a firearm during drug trafficking
- Use of a communication facility to further drug trafficking
- Interstate travel in aid of racketeering
- Andrea Hunt, 28, of Hampton. Her charges are:
- Conspiracy to distribute marijuana, cocaine, fentanyl, oxycodone and cocaine base
- Obstruction of justice
- Use of a communication facility to further drug trafficking
- Brandon Lamar Martin, aka “Lil B”, 37, of Hampton. His charges are:
- Conspiracy to distribute marijuana, cocaine, fentanyl, oxycodone and cocaine base
- Conspiracy to launder money
- Distribution of fentanyl and marijuana
- Possession of a firearm during drug trafficking
- Use of a communication facility to further drug trafficking
- Interstate travel in aid of racketeering
- Carl Eugene Mitchell, Jr., aka “Lil Man”, 27, of Newport News. His charges are:
- Conspiracy to distribute marijuana, cocaine, fentanyl, oxycodone and cocaine base
- Conspiracy to launder money
- Distribution of fentanyl and marijuana
- Use of a communication facility to further drug trafficking
- Interstate travel in aid of racketeering
- Earvin Jerome Moore, aka “Gooch”, 43, of Newport News. His charges are:
- Conspiracy to distribute marijuana, cocaine, fentanyl, oxycodone and cocaine base
- Conspiracy to launder money
- Distribution of fentanyl and marijuana
- Use of a communication facility to further drug trafficking
- Maintaining a drug involved premises
- Freddie Jamaul Moore, aka “Goons”, 37, of Portsmouth. His charges are:
- Conspiracy to distribute marijuana, cocaine, fentanyl, oxycodone and cocaine base
- Conspiracy to launder money
- Distribution of fentanyl and marijuana
- Possession of a firearm during drug trafficking
- Use of a communication facility to further drug trafficking
- Dominique McKenzie Osborne, 24, of Hampton. Charges are:
- Conspiracy to distribute marijuana, cocaine, fentanyl, oxycodone and cocaine base
- Conspiracy to launder money
- Use of a communication facility to further drug trafficking
- Rahkim O’Neil Perry, aka “Rahk”, 25, of Newport News. His charges include:
- Conspiracy to distribute marijuana, cocaine, fentanyl, oxycodone and cocaine base
- Conspiracy to launder money
- Distribution of fentanyl and marijuana
- Use of a communication facility to further drug trafficking
- Interstate travel in aid of racketeering
- Nathan Caleb Schlosser-Goodson, aka “Nasty”, 25, of Yorktown. His charges are:
- Conspiracy to distribute marijuana, cocaine, fentanyl, oxycodone and cocaine base
- Conspiracy to launder money
- Distribution of fentanyl and marijuana
- Use of a communication facility to further drug trafficking
- Possession of a firearm during drug trafficking
- Anastasia Suyas, 25, of Newport News. Her charges are:
- Conspiracy to distribute marijuana, cocaine, fentanyl, oxycodone and cocaine base
- Conspiracy to launder money
- Use of a communication facility to further drug trafficking
- Nyra Taylor, 23, of Hampton. Charges are:
- Conspiracy to distribute marijuana, cocaine, fentanyl, oxycodone and cocaine base
- Conspiracy to launder money
- Distribution of fentanyl and marijuana
- Use of a communication facility to further drug trafficking
- Interstate travel in aid of racketeering
- Christina Michele Thompson, 26, of Spotsylvania. Her charges are:
- Conspiracy to distribute marijuana, cocaine, fentanyl, oxycodone and cocaine base
- Conspiracy to launder money
- Use of a communication facility to further drug trafficking
- Alicia Zamora, 22, of Chesapeake. Her charges are:
- Conspiracy to distribute marijuana, cocaine, fentanyl, oxycodone and cocaine base
- Conspiracy to launder money
- Distribution of fentanyl and marijuana
- Use of a communication facility to further drug trafficking
- Interstate travel in aid of racketeering
The individuals charged who are from outside of Virginia include:
- Dilquon Best, aka "Quon" or DQ, 31, of Atlanta
- Ervin Orlando Linares, aka “Ery”, 23, of Los Angeles
- Graciela Ruiz-Bernabe, aka “Grace”, 33, of Los Angeles
- Camille Lache Smith, 30, of Los Angeles
- Terrance Leonard Vick, aka “V”, 36, of Rio Linda, CA
- Thaddeus Williams IV, aka “Thad”, 31, No address provided
- Korea Woods, 26, of Irvine, CA
- Guang Yang, aka “Ryan”, 26, of Rosemead, CA
“The arrests made in this operation is the culmination of years of investigative work between the FBI and our law enforcement partners,” said Brian Dugan, Special Agent in Charge of the FBI Norfolk Field Office.
If convicted, the defendants each face a mandatory minimum of 10 years in prison and a maximum of life in prison, according to the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Eastern District of Virginia.
