As reported earlier this week, a 58-year-old Newport News man was arrested for pointing a gun at woman while they were both driving on I-64.
The woman was able to record the incident, and Virginia State Police confirmed that she provided them that evidence.
Now, VSP revealed that woman was the second alleged victim of Eugene Timothy Trujillo on Sept. 10.
A little over an hour before the incident with the woman, at around 11:30 a.m., a man was driving on I-264 and called the Virginia Beach Emergency Communications Center to report that another driver in an orange Camaro brandished a firearm at him, VSP stated.
The man provided a description of the driver with the gun, a description of the car, and the tag number, and VSP, said a BOLO was issued.
Today VSP announced that the male victim has positively identified Trujillo, and he has been charged for that incident as well.
His charges for the two incidents include two counts of brandishing a firearm, assault, reckless driving, and reckless handling of a firearm. He s being held at the Newport News City Jail without bond, VSP reported.
Viriginia State Police are asking that anyone who was a witness on September to contact them by calling (757)424-6800, #77, or by email at questions@vsp.virginia.gov
