Over a month has passed since Naseem Isiash Roulack, also known as Lil Nas, escaped from Virginia Department of Corrections' (VADOC) custody.

The 21-year-old Woodbridge man was in the midst of a 13-year sentence at Greensville Correctional Center for aggravated malicious wounding, grand larceny and hit and run, according to VADOC. And he was taken from the prison to St. Mary's Hospital in Henrico for medical treatment.

He escaped from the hospital on August 12 . According to CBS 6, the VADOC officers who were guarding him fell asleep.

In an update issued this week, VADOC said it’s coordinating with Virginia State Police as well as local and federal authorities on the ongoing search.

The U.S. Marshals Service has launched a $5,000 reward for assistance leading to Roulack’s apprehension.

Roulack is described as a black male with brown eyes. VADOC lists him as 5’8” tall. The U.S. Marshals Service has his height at 5’6.” He reportedly weighs 225 pounds. And VADOC says his identifying tattoos include:

  • One on his chest that reads “Marie.”
  • One on his left arm that reads “RIP Ish.”
  • One on his right arm that reads “Faith Is Seeing Light With Your Heart When All Your Eyes See Is Darkness.”
  • One on his right cheek that reads “Cut Throat.”

To contact the U.S. Marshals Service with tips use the USMS app or call 1-877-WANTED2. To report information to state authorities, call VADOC’s fugitive line at 1-877-896-5764 or get Virginia State Police by dialing #77 or 911.
