The Warsaw Police Department is asking for the public’s help to find a larceny suspect and is offering a $500 cash reward to get it.
On Tuesday, May 2, at about 8:50 p.m., a male suspect wearing a hoodie went into Rhino Tobacco and Vapes in Warsaw
Video footage of the incident shows what appears to be a male wearing a tightly drawn hoodie. The cashier places an item on the counter that the hooded guy seems to have requested and rings the item into the cash register.
The audio reveals that the customer says, “Can I grab my ID?” He then says, “I’ll be back.”
He grabs the package off the counter and appears to leave with the item without paying for it.
The cashier, who is shouting, “No. No. Give me. Me.” He jumps over the counter and goes after the guy wearing the hoodie.
According to Warsaw PD, the guy in the hoodie was last seen in the parking lot in a red vehicle. The make and model was not disclosed.
The cash reward is being offered for any information that leads to the suspect’s arrest.
