A 43-year-old woman has gone missing in Essex County, and the sheriff’s office is asking for the public’s help.

Tasha Renee Jeter was last seen in “the Dunnsville area” at about 9 p.m. on Tuesday, March 21.

Dunnsville is about 6 miles from Tappahannock when traveling from the town on Rt. 17. The sheriff’s office didn’t say where in that community she was last seen or if she was with anyone. There also wasn’t any information provided on whether Jeter lives in the Dunnsville area, was passing through, or had other affairs there.

She is believed to be driving a black 2014 Nissan Altima. The car has Virginia handicap tags with 99160H on them, according to the information shared by Essex County Sheriff’s Office.

Jeter is listed as being 5’4” and weighing 145 pounds, according to a flyer from The Aware Foundation of Virginia. Her hair and eyes are both brown. Jeter also has a tattoo on her right arm that says “Tasha” and has a rose.

“Her family and friends are concerned for her well-being,” the flyer says.

The Tappahannock Police Department shared a post from Jeter’s cousin, Nycole Blagmon, who said individuals who may have information can reach out to her or Kaniyah Jeter.

Additionally, the Essex County Sheriff’s Office is asking anyone with information to call (804) 443-3347.
