Tanger Outlets National Harbor celebrates the new school year with Back-to-School Bash, Aug. 28

Washington DC area news

Tanger Outlets National Harbor invites shoppers to kick off back-to-school season in style with its Back-to-School Bash on Saturday, Aug. 28 from 6-9 p.m., sponsored by The Beddow School and ClimbZone Laurel. Families can celebrate their scholars with an array of fun-filled activities, including lawn and arcade games; music; giveaways; food trucks and more in the Food Truck Plaza.

The evening will also be the finale event for participants of the Alsobrooks Summer Passport Experience. The program provided children 12-18 years old in Prince George’s County a variety of safe and fun activities this summer. It focuses on what the county calls the 3 E’s: Education, Experience/Entertainment and Entrepreneurship. After completing a scavenger hunt around the shopping center, the children and their parents will join the activities in the Food Truck Plaza.

Guests can also find fashionable Tanger style savings on must-haves from their favorite outlet brand names and designer stores. For a complete list of sale offerings, please visit

Back-to-School Bash shoppers will also have access to TangerStyle rewards by bringing their discount coupons, valid at participating stores, including American Eagle | Aerie, Gap Factory, Levi’s Outlet, Puma Outlet and Theory.
