Underground Ping-Pong Bar in Downtown Chicago

Wanderlust Wellman

Ping Pong is simply a great game - it doesn't require too much movement, it fits any skill level, and it's a ton of fun! At "Ace Bounce" located in Downtown, Chicago you can play with friends (or strangers) with a really cool atmosphere, some drinks, food, and a limitless supply of balls. It's the perfect addition to a great night in The Loop, Downtown Chicago.

On the outside, it looks like a normal office building. The only indication of their being a business is the easel outside the door. Once you walk in, you will be welcomed with a really cute and trendy phone booth that's perfect for photos. Once you get your photo, you'll head downtowns where there are ping pong tables set up as well as a bar. If you go during the day or early evening it will be a little more relaxed, with softer music and brighter lights. If you go later in the evening, it will be dark with neon lights and the atmosphere is more like a bar. You can still play ping pong though because the neon lights light the balls up!

If you are wanting to have a large group of people, you can rent out an area that's separate from the other tables but still close to the bar and all of the fun. They also offer party packages if you are wanting to book for an event. For a normal 1-hour game, the price is about $10/hour, and they also have a happy hour making it easy to grab a couple of drinks for pretty cheap. I have always enjoyed coming here and bringing friends here when they are visiting from out of town. It's fun, cheap, and not a typical activity you can do downtown in a big city!
