If you’ve walked down Bridge Street in Chippewa Falls, you may have noticed the pink ribbons that are tied to the light posts. These ribbons are part of the ‘Paint the Town Pink’ celebration that is set to run from October 4th to October 7th.
The celebration is meant to showcase downtown businesses and is done in support of breast cancer awareness. Participating businesses include almost every restaurant and retail store located in the downtown area.
Chippewa Falls has a thriving Main Street which showcases a variety of antique brick buildings. Walking down Bridge Street in Chippewa Falls provides a very real sense of what Main Street America was like decades ago.
One of the special events scheduled as part of the ‘Paint the Town Pink’ celebration is a car show on Thursday, October 7th. The show will run from 4PM to 7PM and allow people to admire nice vintage vehicles while taking advantage of pop-up sidewalk sales.
An ‘I Painted the Town Pink’ swag bag is also available for sale at the Main Street Office. The bag includes a tote, a coupon for House Rose’ wine, a breast cancer awareness hat, and some special coupon deals. The swag bag is available for $15 while supplies last.
The event also features a sweepstakes special. For every 10 dollars spent from October 4th to October 10th, you will receive two sweepstakes entries. In order to enter, you simply have to staple your receipts to an entry form and drop them off at the Main Street Office.
There is also a scavenger hunt activity. To participate in the scavenger hunt, pick up a ‘Paint the Town Pink’ brochure at the Main Street Office. Participating businesses will have a number that you must collect and record on the brochure. When you’re finished, you can return the brochure to the Main Street Office.
Chippewa Falls is a close knit community that prides itself on its Main Street and its regularly scheduled family activities. From the music on the riverfront to ‘Paint the Town Pink’ there is almost always something fun going on.
‘Paint the Town Pink’ will be a nice way to spend some quality time with the family and enjoy a brisk autumn day in northern Wisconsin.
