A growing number of Chippewa Falls residents have already received the Coronavirus vaccine, but we still have a long way to go before life can return to normal. Fortunately, the process has been streamlined to the point where you can get vaccinated without having to experience an unreasonable interruption to your day.

There are many places where residents can receive a free Coronavirus vaccination. The Chippewa County Public Health Department has assembled this web page to offer you easy access to all the information you need to know.

The easiest way to schedule an appointment is to call 715-492-3096 and speak with a representative. There is also an option to schedule an appointment on the web page, but scheduling via phone is convenient and does not entail navigating the appointment portal.

Once you’ve made an appointment, all you have to remember is to show up at the indicated time. As a courtesy to others, please remember to wear your mask.

The vaccine is administered at the Chippewa County Courthouse. The address is: 711 N Bridge St, Chippewa Falls, WI 54729.

After a brief wait, nurse will take you inside and administer the vaccine. Chippewa County is offering the Moderna vaccine which requires a booster shot in 28 days.

Once you have received the vaccine, you will be taken to a waiting room where you schedule your booster shot.

You will be required to wait for 15 minutes for observation. This is only a precaution to ensure you don’t have an adverse reaction to the vaccine.

Once the observation period has expired, you will be free to leave. The whole process is fast, painless, and convenient. The staff are very friendly, and there is no charge for this service.

The Chippewa Falls community has made great strides in getting everyone vaccinated in the last few months, but demand has slowed. Now is a great time to schedule an appointment to go in and get vaccinated.

Be sure to discuss any concerns you might have with a medical professional before you receive the vaccine. Here is some important information from the Moderna factsheet to mention to your provider before receiving the vaccine.

Tell your vaccination provider about all of your medical conditions, including if you: have any allergies, have a fever, have a bleeding disorder or are on a blood thinner, are immunocompromised or are on a medicine that affects your immune system, are pregnant or plan to become pregnant, are breastfeeding, have received another COVID 19 vaccine —Moderna Factsheet

Getting everyone vaccinated is the best way to return to life as we knew it before the pandemic. Please call with your questions, or to schedule an appointment today. The number again is: 715-492-3096.
