Google lately took down 9 functions from the Google Play Store after safety researchers at Dr. Web (first suggested via ArsTechnica) determined these malicious apps the use of an exceptional mechanism to trick customers into handing over their Facebook credentials.

What can you do right now?
If you had any of the above apps installed, now is a great time to get rid of the application(s) and change your Facebook password. Also, make sure that you have two-factor authentication enabled on your Facebook account so that nobody can log in remotely without you finding out.
