The municipal authorities of Cheektowaga, New York State, have recently voiced apprehension regarding the potential repercussions of financial burdens in the foreseeable future.

This is reportedly due to the arrival of two buses accommodating migrants who are in pursuit of asylum within the municipality, according to local media reports.

Early on Friday, two buses transporting a sizeable group of approximately 50 individuals seeking asylum reached Erie County in Cheektowaga and have now made Western New York their place of residence.

Upon arrival, local organizations welcomed Erie County's newest residents, helping them acclimate and address immediate needs.

Several Cheektowaga local leaders have gone on record to express their apprehension regarding the potential financial burdens that may arise in the forthcoming period.

Erie County Legislator Frank Todaro was quoted saying:

There's going to be judges that are needed. There's so much strain already on our actual community. We just need these answers. It just, there's too many too many questions that have to be answered".

It was recently reported that there is currently no breakdown available regarding the number of men and women in the group of 60 or the languages they speak.

According to local city officials, it was stated that all of the migrants who arrived in Western New York have legally entered the country and have undergone vetting by federal authorities.
